The unsaved don't have that advantage.

Christians who DON'T pray in tongues don't have that advantage.

But those who learn to pray in tongues do. And they can take that advantage into any arena of life and WIN.

Their Understanding Of Any Situation Is Limited

It's limited by the information they've gathered from their five senses. They are operating in the VISIBLE realm.

They don't see the INVISIBLE aspects of the situation.
They don't see the battle in the SPIRIT realm.
They don't see ALL the puzzle pieces.
They don't know where God wants to take the situation.
AND they don't know the best way to get to a resolution.

The Holy Spirit does. He sees the WHOLE picture. He knows precisely how to pray, AND he ALWAYS prays the PERFECT WILL OF GOD.

That is an important concept for you to grasp.

How to Pray the Will of God for Every Situation

The Holy Spirit will ALWAYS pray in harmony with God’s will. He will NEVER pray apart from God's will. He is in PERFECT harmony with God and will NEVER deviate from God's will when he helps you pray.

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you pray the will of God for your situation.
Begin praying in tongues to bypass your own limitations.
Trust that the Holy Spirit brings breakthrough prayer in line with God’s will.

When you ASK the Holy Spirit to help you pray for "God's perfect will," expect God's best solution. Then continue to pray ALL THE WAY to the end - to the point where you KNOW it's FINISHED.

"How will I KNOW?" you ask.

You will KNOW.

There won't be a question in your mind that you know. It will be clear.

And once you do it ONE time, you'll know how to do it EVERY time.

THAT is your unfair advantage.

But it only works FOR you if you put it into practice.

Your renewed belief systems will AUTOMATICALLY take care of MOST of life's experiences. But when you need to KNOW, or when you need a HOW, or when you recognize a situation will take MORE than what your current belief systems can handle, ASK the Holy Spirit to help you pray "the perfect will of God," then PRAY IN TONGUES.

Learn to follow the Holy Spirit's lead. Don't lean on words your MIND wants to say. Don't frame your prayers based on what you understand through physical evidence. Rely on HIM. Follow HIM.

"For if I pray in tongues, my spirit is praying, but I don't understand what I am saying."
- 1 Corinthians 14:14 NLT

Sometimes He will lead you to speak words you understand. If so, say what He leads you to say. Then revert to tongues.

Follow Him if He leads you into unusual languages, or groaning, or sighing, or singing, or praise. Trust Him. He knows how to get it done.

Don't follow your MIND. Follow the SPIRIT.

When you learn to follow the Holy Spirit in this type of prayer, He will provide the best results, even if they differ from what you pictured.

Here’s How It Works

In our final months of Bible School, Diane and I started praying about what to do after graduation. We didn't think we were ready to go into full-time ministry, so we decided to move to California, get a job, save money, and then transition into ministry.

We needed money to move across the country, a place to live, and a job. There were many loose ends and unknowns.

We didn't know how to get to California or what to do when we arrived, so we prayed in tongues.

We ASKED the Holy Spirit to HELP us pray THE PERFECT WILL OF GOD for our move to California.

Jesus is the WAY. The Holy Spirit is the HOW.

I spent many afternoons and evenings praying in tongues concerning GOD'S PERFECT WILL for our move to California.

Hours and hours of prayer.

Weeks went by.

Anything we did toward the move hit a dead end. There were no open doors.

And we continued to pray.

It was tiring. I was running into brick walls that wouldn't budge.

"But there MUST be a way there," I thought. And I continued to pray.

God’s Plan

Then I got a phone call from an acquaintance who worked at the school's alumni office.

She said, "Jayce, [a well-known minister] is moving her operations from Dallas to Tulsa."

She continued, "She's looking for a Crusade Coordinator. We've been wondering who to tell. When I left work a few moments ago, the Lord said, 'Call Jayce Tohline.'

"When I went back to the office to call you, I told my co-worker what the Lord said. She said, 'I just turned to the page in the yearbook with his picture. I don't know him, but the Lord told me he's the one we should call.'"

Since this was very different than expected, I responded, "Thanks for letting me know, but Diane and I are moving to California."

That was a great "faith" statement.

It wasn't from faith, though. I spoke from determination - from willpower.

I'm sure she thought, "That crazy guy is too spiritual for his own good. The Lord is handing him this job on a silver platter, and he's turning it down."

She didn't SAY it, but I imagine that's what she thought.

Noteworthy Details

The Lord prompted BOTH of them to call ME. And I brushed it off as though it were nothing.

A week later, Diane and I were still running into brick walls concerning California. So I decided to call and get an interview.

When I called the ministry's contact, they were already in the second round of interviews. But they decided to interview me anyway.

When I got off the phone, the Holy Spirit said, "It's yours if you want it."

Wow!

I had the RHEMA of God.

My Plan vs God’s Plan

IN MY MIND, we were going to California. But God's "perfect will" was for us to stay in Tulsa and be a part of that ministry.

Because I ASKED for HIS perfect will, God moved in a SPECTACULAR way to redirect me.

When you ask for the "perfect will of God." It may be different than you think. But it WILL be perfect.

If He has to move in a SPECTACULAR way, He will.

If you want HIS perfect will, and you're willing to PRAY THROUGH, He will move heaven and earth to get you to where He wants you.

You can TRUST and RELY on the Holy Spirit. He will NEVER lead you astray.
