When things get turned upside down, it’s easy to go into stress – or even panic. But this is what the prophet Isaiah said of your Father:
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you.” – Isaiah 26:3 ESV
Speaking of keeping your mind on something…
In 2 Corinthians 4:18, Paul admonishes you to NOT look at, focus on, and make decisions based on the visible realm (that which can be accessed by the five senses). Instead, he encourages you to look at, focus on, and make decisions based on the invisible realm.
Because the things in the visible realm (that which can be accessed by the five senses) are temporary (and subject to change); but the things which are invisible are eternal (stable, fixed, dependable, and not subject to change).
You can clearly see this from an economic standpoint. The “rules” governing this world system cannot be trusted. They can change in a moment of time. We are told there are solid principles, but that reasoning falls apart in the face of disaster, war, and pandemics.
The “rules” of the invisible world are (instead) fixed, stable, dependable and unchanging.
Notice that Jesus, in his earthly ministry, preached “the gospel.” But it wasn’t the “gospel of Jesus Christ.” Instead, he preached the gospel of kingdom of God.
In one place he explained that this kingdom is invisible.
Like any kingdom, the kingdom of God operates on governing laws and principles. But this kingdom’s governing laws and principles are stable, fixed and unchanging – making it unlike the kingdoms of this world.
These governing laws and principles are the same “rules” God used in his creation of the universe, and they are the same laws and principles that hold the universe together today.
And they are the same rules YOU use every day to create and order your own “universe.” Unfortunately, most are not even aware these laws exist, much less that they, themselves, are using them every day to unwittingly create a life different from the one they want to experience.
Now look at what Jesus said in Matthew 6:33:
“Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.”
You’ve heard that one before, I’m sure. And maybe you’ve seen the same verse in the Amplified Version – but have you paid attention to it?
“Seek FIRST the kingdom of God (HIS METHODS AND WAYS OF DOING THINGS and being right) and all the things the world seeks and reaches for will be added to you.”
Did you see that?
Your focus should be on learning God’s METHODS AND WAYS OF DOING THINGS.
THAT is what it means to “seek first the kingdom of God.”
When you learn HIS methods and ways of doing things, you can have anything you need or want.
You can access abundant supply when you learn to operate within the kingdom.
HIS methods and ways of doing things are different from “how things work” in the visible realm, which is unstable and highly volatile.
I’m going to leave you with this – my paraphrase of what Paul says in Romans, chapter 8. Read it. Think about it.
4 The rightness we thought we could attain to through the law (of Moses) is now fulfilled in people who order their lives (and make their decisions) based on the invisible realm instead of ordering their lives (and making their decisions) based on the visible realm (that which can be accessed through the five senses).
5 People who order their lives (and make their decisions) based on the visible realm do so because their minds are focused (consciously or unconsciously) on evidence they can access through the five senses. People who order their lives (and make their decisions) based on the invisible realm do so because THEIR MINDS ARE FOCUSED (consciously or unconsciously) on spiritual laws and principles (things they cannot access through the five senses).
6 Listen. Ordering your life (and making your decisions) based on the visible realm produces death (separation from God). Ordering your life (and making your decisions) based on the invisible realm produces life (unity with God) and peace.
7 The mind focused (consciously or unconsciously) on evidence accessed through the five senses is hostile toward God and will not be subject to the laws and principles of God (and how things REALLY work). That mindset does not and cannot be under God’s direction and guidance.
8 So then, people who are IN the visible realm CANNOT please God.
9 BUT YOU are not IN the visible realm, but IN the invisible realm, IF the Spirit of God lives and abides in you. (Now, if anyone does NOT have the Spirit of Christ, that person does not belong to him.)
10 You need to know this: IF Christ is IN you, the body (along with the five senses) is separated from God because of sin; BUT you (the spirit) are united with God because of righteousness.
Now pay attention…
You can be IN Christ while your mind is still focused on the evidence you gain through the five senses – your flesh. With this mindset, you can be sure you are ordering your life (and making your decisions) apart from Father’s direction. THAT, my friend, is not serving you. THAT kind of thinking is filled with limitations.
Let’s get rid of limiters in your life. In doing so, you will begin removing limiters you have placed on Father’s ability to help you.
In my next email, you and I will start digging into how the kingdom works, which is another way of saying, “how all things work.”
I want you to learn how to make the switch from “visible realm dependency” to “invisible realm dependency” – from limited life to unlimited life.
Until then, I suggest you take the time to read and re-read this email.
